One thing thats obvious about Tattletail is that hes a parody of Furbbies, a virtual pet made in the 90s. Waygetter has an official website and a Twitter account. The games description says that Mama was the 'original' Tattletail, and that she was banned 'years earlier', before Tattletail was made. Mama Tattletail can be seen at various points, sometimes laying on her side. They are also included as an in-universe toy company, most notably as the creators of the Tattletail. In this commercial, Tattletail seems to be marketed as an educational toy. You opened your Tattletail before Christmas, and now he wont stay in his box. Furthermore, Tattletail has in no way resembles its game mechanic or narrative. Waygetter Electronics is the team of developers who created the game.
